This was a piece my friend Matt dreamed up. I think he desperately wanted to see it as an oil painting, but since I am not an oil painter, I created a digital composite which is available as a print from DeviantArt.com - Cilck the link after the jump to purchase your print today!!!

"SICK" graffiti sketch
This a just a graffiti sketch I did a few weeks ago. Maybe it was months? Hmm?!?!?!?! Anyways, I've painted some graff since, I just mean as far as graff sketches - haven't been doing em. I want to though, just need to get some new markers and prisma pencils.

Skull and Spine sketch
This was a sketch, created after I threw some spray paint on a canvas and decided to FIND something in the paint to guide me. I found a skull and then a spine, so I created this thumbnail and have already executed quite a bit of the painting. If anyones reading - THE FINISHED WORKS ARE COMING! Why else would all this stuff be on here??? Enjoy!

Skinned Buggy Zombie
Although this is just a random sketch, I fell in love with it. Not my best work, not my worst. Still, I love the little guy created from my thoughts, created over time, here and there, riding in the truck, sitting at home watching a movie, drunk in the middle of the night. I finally finished it! Best name I could come up with - Skinned Buggy Zombie. There ya go.

Jack the Beast
This is my sketch "Jack the Beast". Of course, Halloween is coming, and although I did this for last year, I never did anything with it but put it away. None of that is happening anymore. Sketches will become full colored illustrations for T-Shirts, Posters, vinyl figures, prints or paintings. What should this one be? (hint: coloring is near completion!)

PENGUIN ICESCAPE
This is a sketch I did a while ago, just for some practice. Now, I'm thinking add some accessories to the bird, lose the background, keep the fish bone and make this a vinyl figure. What do you think? I recently got learned on a website called PatchTogether.com. Get enough votes and a vinyl figure, plush or T-shirt or combination of those are created from your illustrations, placed for sale online and you get a cut of that. I would like that. Check me out, my member name is GreyMatter

Tentacle Cyclops
Another creature, in my mind a sea creature, but the tentacles, eyeball and lips say it all! Yeah, that is the whole drawing. Tentacles, eyeball and lips. Get over it!

Sea Monsters
Although they may not look like sea monsters, that's how I see them. I plan to use them in illustrations with full color in an underwater scene.

Psyko Zombie
A friend of mine mentioned sending out some blank skateboards to artists he knows a while back. I know his love for Rockabilly/Psychobilly music and culture (I know I got one of those wrong, right?) so I did a quick sketch for the artwork. This sketch does not due justice to the concept and painting that will complete it's existence. I guarantee to make this one happen even if the skateboard never arrives. IT'S IN THE WORKS!!!

Arthur Miller sketch
I did this while watching Arthur Miller speaking on a documentary type series called "The Atheist Tapes". Look up the background info and it might explain the nature of the series. It's a bunch of footage of conversations with some really interesting people discussing philosophy and spirituality.
But, let's focus on the art you guys! I don't ever sketch people, but it's about time I leave my comfort zone.
Welcome to The Art of Grey Matter. Nothing but sketches at first, but expect more completed works in the future.
